The Dutch government usually pays childcare allowance (Kinderopvangtoeslag) to parents who have their children looked after in a childcare facility. This subsidy is intended to cover part of the childcare costs for working parents.

This allowance is part of a comprehensive social security system and aims to relieve families of the financial burden of childcare. This government support is intended to help parents better combine working and raising a family.

The DISDH kindergarten is state-approved and registered, so parents can apply for childcare allowance at the Ministerie van Financiën.

We are happy to support you in this process and provide you with a handy calculation tool that makes it easy to work out your costs.

DISDH Kindergarten Fees

Depending on the family situation, childcare costs vary. The amount of the subsidy and the personal contribution depend on several factors, such as the number of hours of care per month, the hourly rate of the daycare, and the family income.

Our hourly rate includes a daily hot lunch and most excursions. The billing for our kindergarten is based on 7 hours and 45 minutes per day, from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you take advantage of the extended opening hours (3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.), you will be billed subsequently.

  3. Both parents are employed (this also applies to part-time employment, entrepreneurs or self-employed persons, foster parents, freelancers, mail or newspaper deliverers, guest lecturers or lecturers, artists or professional athletes, municipal council members or employees in the partner’s company). Not valid: voluntary work (with or without a volunteer allowance), scholarships or informal care.
  4. If one parent is employed and the other parent is temporarily unemployed due to training, an integration course, a long-term illness or the need for care. For more detailed information, please visit this link.
